Will Ospreay has continued to fire back WWE’s Triple H over his comments about “the grind”, sharing a previous promo of him talking about his sacrifices.
WWE has lost out on several top talents recently, with the likes of Will Ospreay, Kazuchika Okada and Mercedes Mone choosing to join AEW instead of signing with WWE.
On the Pat McAfee Show on April 5, 2024, ahead of WrestleMania 40, Triple H seemingly took a shot at Ospreay saying:
“If they’re not here to be all in on this – like, when I see people that come out of trying to make it and then they pick the job where they go, ‘Well, they work less, the schedule’s lighter’.”
This led to Ospreay firing a shot at Triple H during the April 10 edition of Dynamite, with the AEW star stating that the WWE Chief Content Officer had been “grinding on the boss’s daughter” to get to where he is in the company.
Ospreay has now taken to Twitter to share his viral promo from the NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 press conference, ahead of his match against Kenny Omega in January 2023.
During the promo, which was full of expletives, Ospreay recapped all of the travelling and self-isolation periods he had to complete so that he could wrestle in Japan, and see his family back in the UK.
Ospreay opened up about his 15 hour journeys from the UK to Japan, and the 14 day quarantine, living in his ‘own f**king brain’.
The then-IWGP US Champion then opened up about having to watch his best friend’s funeral through an iPad, telling Omega that he had no idea what he had gone through over the last few years.

Ospreay shared this promo with the caption:
Grind aye
The comment that Ospreay made on Dynamite has been criticised by fans for bringing up WWE instead of focusing on AEW.
The AEW name whose idea it was for Ospreay to fire this shot has now been revealed, which you can read more about at this link.
